Brave Search Launches Live FIFA World Cup 2026 Widget With Scores, Standings and Bracket
Brave Search now serves live FIFA World Cup 2026 data directly on its results page, giving users instant access to scores, standings and bracket information without leaving the search engine.
Searching “World Cup” or related terms in Brave Search pulls up a three-tab widget at the top of the results page. Brave confirmed the feature in a post on X on June 10.
What the Widget Includes
The widget’s Games tab displays the full match schedule, kick-off times, participating nations and their flags. Upcoming fixtures include Mexico versus South Africa and Canada.
The Standings tab shows real-time group tables — points, matches played, wins, draws and losses — updated as results come in. The Bracket tab maps every round of the tournament alongside scheduled dates.
Brave said the widget updates dynamically with live scores throughout the competition. The 2026 World Cup began June 11.
Not the First Time
Brave built a similar widget for the 2022 World Cup. This edition is an updated version of that tool.
The feature is live now. Users do not need to update any settings to see it — the widget appears automatically for relevant searches.
Rivals Move Fast, Too
Brave is not alone. Opera and Firefox have both launched their own tournament tracking tools ahead of the same deadline.
Opera’s Android app added a World Cup tracker directly to its home screen, letting users select favorite teams and receive live match scorecards. Firefox introduced live sports widgets on its New Tab Page, also delivering scores and schedules in time for the tournament’s opening.
The simultaneous moves reflect how browser and search developers use major sporting events to drive engagement with their platforms. The 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, runs through July 19.
