Google Patches 382 Chrome Vulnerabilities, Including 15 Rated Critical

Google released a Chrome security update Tuesday that fixes 382 vulnerabilities, including 15 rated Critical — one of the largest single security rollouts the browser has seen in recent months.

The update brings Chrome to version 150.0.7871.46/.47 on Windows and Mac, and 150.0.7871.46 on Linux. Android users receive version 150.0.7871.63, which carries the same Security Fixes as the desktop release.

Critical Flaws Target Core Browser Components

The 15 Critical-rated vulnerabilities include multiple use-after-free bugs — a class of memory corruption flaw that can allow attackers to crash a program or execute malicious code — across components including Extensions, GPU, Browser, Bluetooth, WebUSB, Views, Chromoting, and Ozone.

Google also patched Critical issues in ANGLE, Skia, Dawn, and iOSWeb.

Beyond Critical flaws, the update addresses dozens of High-severity vulnerabilities spanning Blink, Canvas, the Document Object Model (DOM), QUIC, Safe Browsing, Downloads, Passwords, Accessibility, Chromecast, Autofill, and Chrome Tabs, among others.

Sharp Jump From Prior Release

The scale of this update stands in contrast to Google’s previous stable channel release, which patched 18 vulnerabilities, including four Critical ones.

That release came just weeks after Google pushed an emergency Chrome 149 patch to address an actively exploited zero-day flaw — a vulnerability attackers were already using in the wild before a fix existed. That emergency update covered 74 security issues in total.

Google said it is withholding detailed technical bug reports for most of the newly fixed flaws until a majority of Chrome users install the update — standard practice for the company. Some reports may stay restricted longer if the underlying vulnerabilities affect third-party libraries that other software projects still use.

How to Get the Update

Chrome updates roll out gradually over days and weeks. Users who want to install the update immediately can navigate to Settings > About Chrome on desktop, where the browser will check for, download, and prompt installation of the latest version.

Google separately said it is promoting Chrome 151 to the stable channel, signaling another release is imminent.

Chrome is the world’s most widely used desktop browser, holding roughly 65% of the global market as of mid-2025, according to StatCounter.
